A fully customized vending machine selling sunglasses in 20 different colors, placed in nightclubs, bars, and high-traffic retail locations across Ibiza and Formentera.
It made eyewear fun, fast, and accessible perfect for spontaneous purchases in social settings.
The idea was patented and quickly became a hit, merging utility, visibility, and lifestyle into one bold retail concept.
It wasn’t just a sales tool it was an experience.
Successful Eyewear Projects by 3Y3: Innovation Meets Identity
The Eyewear Yacht Store
A 16-meter boat transformed into a fully functional monobrand eyewear boutique.
The world’s first floating eyewear store a hybrid between concept store and art installation, sailing along Italy’s most exclusive coastlines.
A bold experiment in immersive retail that redefined what a "flagship" could mean.
Monobrand Flagship Stores
I personally opened and managed 14 monobrand eyewear stores across Europe, Russia, and the Middle East — half directly owned, the rest developed through franchise partnerships.
From Portofino to Saint-Tropez, Milan to Dubai, and iconic destinations like Capri, Cannes, and Taormina, each location was curated with a unique retail concept tailored to its local clientele and the brand’s DNA.
Suglasses for an Iconic Football Club
I developed a licensed sunglasses collection for one of the world’s most renowned football clubs. The project merged sport, style, and brand legacy, resulting in a line of eyewear that resonated with fans and fashion enthusiasts alike.
Sold across official club stores and select retailers, this capsule combined performance with identity a limited edition designed to make a statement on and off the field.
Collaboration with Universities
I collaborated with top design and fashion schools in Milan, including Istituto Marangoni and Politecnico di Milano, leading workshops on eyewear design, branding, and market strategy.
Students developed full collections from sketch to prototype professionally produced and launched on the market.
This hands-on experience offered a complete view of the eyewear industry and allowed me to mentor emerging talent while exploring eyewear as a form of identity and design culture.
